COLOR RUN FAQ
What is the color made of?
The color powder is food grade quality cornstarch and food coloring. It is non-toxic, 100% safe and biodegradable. As with any substance, you will want to keep it out of your eyes and lungs. If you are overly sensitive, you may want to wear glasses or goggles for your eyes and use a bandana or dust mask for your mouth. (Especially recommended for younger runners/walkers.)
Can I take pictures?
Yes! A professional photographer will cover the Color Run and the PTO may use the photos to promote PTO events. If you do bring a device please keep devices in a plastic bag to keep it color dust free. Wredling PTO is not responsible for any device damage during the event.
Can I wear costumes?
Yes Please! The whiter and crazier, the better! White clothing displays the most optimal color coverage possible. Wear a tutu, a feather boa or whatever you can dream up, just be sure to meet the school dress code. You will be coated head to toe in color when finished if you choose to run close to the color throwers.
Can I walk?
Yes! You will be one of many who will be walking as the Color Run
is non-competitive and un-timed. You can walk, jog, run, crawl, skip,
or dance to the music from our Color Run DJ. Come ready to have fun
and get covered in color.
Can I refund my registration?
No. Unfortunately it’s impossible for us to offer refunds. You can still
pick up your color run t-shirt at the event registration desk. Submitting
registration will serve as acceptance of the no refund policy.
If severe weather, the event will have to be canceled.
All color run t-shirts will be given to the registrants via
school should this be the case.
Can I bring my pet?
Sorry, but no pets are allowed at this event.
Are there age limits?
Everyone is welcome at the Color Run! We recommend children are properly protected with sunglasses, maybe even something to cover their mouth. The powdered color could irritate the smaller ones more than adults. Each child age 5 years and younger are allowed to run free with a paid adult. All kids who wish to participate no matter how old must be registered.
What is the Color Run Swag and when/where can I pick it up?
Each paid registrant gets an awesome Swag including a Wredling Color Run t-shirt and a wristband to pick up a color packet for the end color blast celebration. Anyone registering after the deadline is not guaranteed a Color Run t-shirt. Extras will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. Swag pick up begins at 4:30 pm at the check-in desk at the Wredling track. Wredling PTO will not be able to make any exceptions on the late registration policy.
What should I wear?
White clothing shows colors best! Want a lot of color to hit your shirt,
run/walk closer to the color throwers. Want only a little bit of color,
run/walk in the farthest lane from the throwers. Color mostly washes
but can stain, wash it sooner than later. Wear clothes/shoes you don't
mind getting color on and brush off as much as possible before getting
into car and again before laundering. Bring a towel or some plastic bags
and some wipes. Color dust in your vehicle wipes or vacuums out easily.
Mostly it won't stain and it won't stain skin.
How do I keep the cool colors in my Color Run Shirt?
If you want to keep that t-shirt full of color, place it in a plastic bag
immediately following the run, first soak it in vinegar and then iron it.
That's best way to preserve your Color Run shirt for the longest amount
